SUMMER IN THE CANADIAN ROCKIES AND BANFF NATIONAL PARK
Planning to visit Lake Louise or Moraine Lake this summer?
Moraine Lake Road closes as soon as 6 am. When the small parking lot at Moraine Lake fills up, access road closes, and traffic is redirected to Lake Louise overflow. First shuttle runs at 6 am for those who like to start early!
Emerald Lake
Great alternative to Moraine Lake is Emerald Lake. Premier attraction in secluded setting, only 30-minute drive west of Lake Louise. Canoe rental is a peaceful way to enjoy the lake, and there is variety of hiking trails to choose from.
Peyto Lake August Closure
As early as mid-August, there will be no access to Peyto Lake or Bow Summit from any roadside locations on the Icefields Parkway. Plan your visit ahead of August, we’ve got rooms & suites left!
