As winter settles over the Bow Valley, a truly magical transformation takes place inside The Malcolm Hotel. Throughout December, our grand corridors and majestic public spaces are filled with a magnificent, sparkling forest of holiday trees, turning the entire property into an indoor winter wonderland.

Each tree in this breathtaking display tells its own story. Local businesses, artisans, and community organizations vie for top honours in our annual decorating showcase, bringing unmatched creativity to every branch. As you wander through the forest, you will discover an extraordinary variety of designs, ranging from timeless, snow-dusted classics adorned in ribbon and light to whimsical, handcrafted, and delightfully unexpected creations. It is a true celebration of local artistry and holiday spirit, set against the backdrop of our rustic alpine architecture.

Whether you are looking for a peaceful sanctuary from the mountain chill or a festive afternoon stroll with loved ones, The Rotary Festival of Trees offers a warm, captivating escape. We invite you to grab a hot spiced latte from the Pulse General Store and Café or a fireside cocktail from the Stirling Lounge, take your time exploring the shimmering displays, and immerse yourself in the quintessential Canmore holiday experience.

Complimentary and open to the public daily. Proudly presented in partnership with the Rotary Club of Canmore.
